Big Fun In The Big Town - Dutch TV Hip Hop Doc (1986)

Street teams were developed back in the day during the Bad Boy, Death Row and Terror Squad era. With posters, flyers, cassettes and CD’s being given away at music retail stores and lifestyle accounts; this was the way to create a buzz on forthcoming albums, major motion pictures and even clothing lines. All industries jumped into this gorilla style street promotion tactic.

Al Pizarro headed up one of the most effective street teams in NYC working for Death Row at the time. So it will come to no surprise that Hip Hop Blvd was created and is now working to expand their street team. We are glad to introduce you to the Hip Hop Blvd street team and this team will be growing.

Just Cauz

Joseph Castillo Artist name Just Cauz is a new member to the street team. He Just has been creating music for almost 20 years. He is currently living in Bennington, Vermont with his wife and two children but was Born in Manhattan. Cauz met the team a couple months back at one of our Hip Hop Blvd Events and was utterly inspired by what everyone had done and was actively doing for Hip Hop and there communitys. Cauz is a member of the NAACP National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, VPOC Vermont Professionals of Color and BIPOC Black Indigenous People of Color. Like Hip Hop Blvd, Just Cauz is for the people, Hip Hop and the community. Remember Hip hop isnt just music, it's a culture and it's a lifestyle. With that being said it is an honor to welcome Just Cauz as an artist and apart of our street team.
